About This Property

A late 1800s/early 1900s Victorian beauty featured in Historic Homes of Colorado County, the Boettcher-Spedale home still possesses many of the lovely original characteristics. Built by John Boettcher for his family, the frame and rafters are yellow heart pine, the ceilings were built of cypress and the exterior cypress shiplap style boarding. The Boettcher family occupied the home for over 50 years. Like stepping back in time, the home offers a sprawling front porch, foyer with tall ceiling, cozy parlor with a fireplace, formal dining, hardwoods and transom windows. Over the years a den was added in the back of the home. Downstairs are 2 full bathrooms, upstairs you'll find a room perfect for a home office, media room or bedroom. The spacious kitchen offers plenty of counterspace and room for a breakfast table. The outside building would make a wonderful guest or pool house as it offers a full bathroom. The home has an attached garage as well as a carport for additional parking.
